Pro tip: Give those old dead malls a second look, it changed my view
I used to drive past the old Valley Mall and just see a mess. Then one day I went inside with a buddy. The quiet halls and old storefronts brought back memories from when I was young. Now I understand why folks check out these spots, it's like stepping into the past. Maybe it's just me, but it shifted how I see those empty buildings.

Wow, tbh I read something a while back about people taking photos in these old malls. It called them modern ruins or something like that. That totally fits with what you're saying, it's like finding little pieces of history just sitting there. Super cool that @grant.sam found a working arcade, that must have felt like hitting a time machine. Ngl, it makes me want to go check out the one on the other side of town with my actual camera, not just my phone.

Honestly, this hits home for me. It's not just malls, it's a whole thing I see all the time. We drive past the same places every day and never really look at them. Like my own street, I only noticed how nice the old trees were after I walked instead of drove. That mall trip is the same idea, taking a minute to see what's really there. It makes you wonder what else we're missing because we're moving too fast.
