inUnpopular opinion: Binging shows has turned me into a filler episode detector.
My Netflix queue is just a list of shows where I skip ahead whenever two characters start talking quietly in a kitchen. It's like my brain has been trained to expect a car crash or a secret twin reveal every seven minutes. I watched a scene last week where a guy just made a sandwich, and I got genuinely angry waiting for the bread to be a clue. We broke television by treating every season like a eight-hour movie that's scared of being boring.

inTraining for agility competitions wrecked my dog's basic obedience
Been there. It's so easy to let the fun stuff take over. Mixing in basic commands on sport days is the only way to keep them solid.

inUpdate: A virtual forest walk flipped my view on VR worlds
What if you could actually feel the heat of a forest fire in VR? I had a similar moment with a glacier melting simulation, and it really got to me. Watching it disappear over just a few minutes made the whole crisis feel immediate. That sense of loss stuck around long after I stopped using the headset. It's crazy how a fake experience can make you change real things, like bothering to recycle more.

inMy town's library started lending out museum passes, and it's changed how I plan day trips.
Saw it as just free entry before, now I get the crowd control too.

inMy kid's school lunch program bans mixing apple sauce with mashed potatoes.
What? They actually forbid mixing apple sauce into mashed potatoes? That blows my mind. In my experience, some of the best food combos come from kids trying things out. It's a sweet and savory mix that might sound weird but can be really good. Your mileage may vary, but banning it just kills a simple joy. Take this with a grain of salt, but rules like that make lunch feel like a chore instead of a chance to explore.
