Back when TV news felt like a real debate, not a lecture

Remember those 80s debate shows were just as biased, they just had better manners. Crossfire was basically two guys yelling talking points at each other for ratings. People mostly watched the channel that already agreed with them back then too. This "golden age" of debate is a fantasy. We just notice the problems more now because we have more choices and louder voices.

A client's joke about my scissors led to a neat organizing hack

Wait, you're working twice as fast now? That's a huge jump just from organizing your tools. What was the joke about the scissors that sparked it? I'm curious how you sorted everything to get that kind of speed boost.

TIL that a loft bed gave my teen daughter her own zone in our tiny house.

That loft bed trick is a game changer for small spaces. We hung curtains to split rooms and give each person a private corner. It costs almost nothing and you can move them around easy.

Update: My new camp seat stopped the next-day aches

During a 10-mile hike in Glacier National Park, I packed a lightweight camping stool. It turned out to be a game changer for taking breaks without sitting on rocks or damp soil. @alex_mason, you mentioned the cast iron pan, and it's similar, where the right gear can make the trip better. The stool's weight felt worth it because I used it at every stop, unlike some stuff that stays in the pack. Your mileage may vary, but for me, that bit of comfort after miles of walking is a big deal.

Selling yourself isn't always the nightmare it's made out to be.
