That constant jet lag feeling isn't normal, and we need to talk about it

How long did it take you to figure out you needed that buffer? I tried to push through for a year and my brain was just soup, like I'd forget simple words mid-sentence. My digestion was a mess too, eating meals at all the wrong times. Respecting that recovery time changed everything, it's not worth feeling like a zombie just to keep up.

Ngl, my cheap flight hack for work trips accidentally turned me into the office travel agent, and I'm not complaining.

But is this really a win, or just more unpaid labor disguised as a perk? I've seen similar situations where sharing a travel tip turns into managing everyone's itineraries and troubleshooting their delays. Suddenly, you're the go-to person for every flight change or hotel complaint, which can eat into your actual work time. It might seem helpful now, but wait until you're blamed for a cancelled flight or a bad hotel review. Sure, it feels good to be needed, but is that worth the extra hassle? Sometimes keeping those hacks to yourself preserves your sanity and professional boundaries.

Update: My DIY fix for a mouse that all the experts loved but I hated

Logitech's ergonomic mice get praised in every tech blog, but wrist pain isn't always the mouse's fault. My cousin swore his carpal tunnel was from his keyboard until he adjusted his chair height. Adding foam might help, but it sounds like a band-aid for a deeper setup issue. Most people just need to take breaks and stretch, not modify their hardware. I've used a basic dell mouse for years without issues, so maybe the problem is overblown. Spending time on DIY fixes seems excessive when a five minute adjustment could do the trick.
