Hit 10,000 steps before noon and now my day feels broken
Walked 2.3 miles on my lunch break Tuesday just to see the pedometer tick past 10,000 by 11:40 AM. Felt like a champion for about five seconds, then realized I had nothing left for the rest of the day. My afternoon meeting notes turned into scribbles because my legs were done. Now I'm sitting at my desk in Des Moines with sore calves and a wrap-up email I can't focus on. Who else has ruined their whole day by winning too early? How do you pace yourself without turning it into a chore?
Oh man, been there! I once hit my step goal by 9am and spent the rest of the day walking like a baby giraffe learning to stand. Maybe try splitting it up so you're not sprinting through the first half like a golden retriever chasing a ball.
