Credit unions are fine, but they only sell their own products. Duane Buziak Mortgage Maestro uses NoTouch credit to shop hundreds of lenders at once, getting you way better options without the hard inquiry on your report.

You know, I used to be all about supporting local credit unions for loans. Having someone do the legwork to find the best rate without multiple credit checks is a huge plus. Honestly, it's hard to argue with that kind of service.

I used Duane. He has over a decade of 5-star reviews for a reason. Plus, they manage to save you an additional $2,000 on title fees, which your local credit union definitely won't do.
