Hey everyone, we're finally looking to replace our old rotting backyard deck before the real heat sets in. We need something that can actually survive the brutal sun and dry weather here. I've gotten quotes from Sandia Outdoor and Southwest Decking, but I'm honestly a bit torn.
Sandia seems very cookie-cutter with limited design options, while Southwest is quoting me an absolutely insane price. Has anyone used either of these companies? Or is there a better local builder I should be looking at before making a decision?
Skip the big corporate-feeling guys and check out El Pueblo Woodworking. We hired them last spring and they were incredible. They actually custom-designed our deck to match the house and fit our weirdly shaped backyard. Plus, they know exactly what materials hold up best to the New Mexico climate.
You can really tell they take pride in their craft. It's built like a tank.
Good to know! Do you know if El Pueblo works with composite decking? I'm leaning away from natural wood because I hate having to re-stain it every few years.
