I used a whole bottle of that 'instant cure' wood filler on a big oak floor gap. It set up in 90 seconds, rock hard, and now my sander just skates over it. Looks like a shiny river of plastic.

Honestly, the whole reaction seems overblown. I mean, was it actually that bad? Maybe it's just me but people are acting like it was some huge disaster. It was probably just annoying, not a nightmare. Idk, maybe we have different standards for what's terrible.
