Unpopular opinion: The whole Atkins phase in the early 2000s set me up for failure with all that bacon and no bread
Tbh, cutting out carbs completely boosted my cravings so much that I gained back all the weight plus more once I quit.

My doctor told me to try Atkins in 2002. I was sure it was the answer to all my weight problems! But after a few months, I craved carbs so much it felt like torture. When I finally gave in, I binged on bread and gained back more than I lost. Your experience with the cravings really rings true for me. I learned that extreme diets just set you up for failure in the long run.
