Everyone in my circle thinks total couple openness is healthy, but I push back

Lately, all my friends believe sharing every account and password shows trust. I think this new norm invades our private thoughts and can start fights. Like, my neighbor freaked out over a harmless text from her partner's coworker. Having separate spaces lets us breathe and actually talk things out!

My own marriage could be a case study for why this is a bad idea. My wife once saw my search for "how to fix a garbage disposal" and somehow we argued for an hour about home repair skills. Separate passwords saved us from a dumb fight about YouTube history.

We set up separate user accounts on everything. It's amazing how many fights you avoid when your partner can't see your dumb Google history.
