I used to think peel-and-stick backsplash was a bad idea
My friend in Cincinnati just redid her kitchen and used that sticky tile stuff behind her sink. She said she put it up in an afternoon for about eighty bucks, and it's held up through a whole year of cooking and cleaning. I always thought it would look cheap or peel right off, but seeing it in person changed my mind (it looked totally real). She pointed out that if you rent or just want a quick change, it's a solid option without the mess of mortar. Now I'm thinking about trying it in my own laundry room as a test run. Has anyone else used it in a wet area and had it stick for good?

Quick change" made me try it in my bathroom first.

Tbh I did the same thing with a new foundation, checking it under every light bulb in there.

Totally get it, @gibson.elizabeth. I did the exact same thing with a new hair color last month. Stood in my bathroom for like an hour trying to see if it looked crazy in different lights. It's the only safe place to panic if it goes wrong. My shower curtain got more of a preview than any person did. Bathroom testing is just the smart move, lol.
