Had to choose between a $15 part and a whole new faucet assembly

The kitchen faucet started dripping last month so I opened it up and found a busted rubber seal. I could either spend $15 on a rebuild kit or $90 on a whole new faucet from Home Depot. Went with the rebuild kit and it worked fine, but I'm wondering how many folks just toss the whole thing instead of fixing it.

My garbage disposal had a $10 fix but I replaced the whole unit instead. Regret it.

Hear me out @hannahw30, but new unit means a clean start with a warranty. That $10 fix could've just been a bandaid if something else was about to go. Plus you saved yourself the headache of taking it apart and maybe breaking something worse. Peace of mind is worth something too, even if your wallet took a hit now.
