Update: I used to think keeping the house was the only win, but selling it and splitting the cash was the best call we made.

My friend in Austin did the same thing last year and said the relief was immediate.

Totally agree, did the same thing and @ellis.hayden is right about the relief.

How much did you get for yours? That clean break sounds way better than being tied to a house full of bad memories.
