The difference in my kids after 8 months of shared custody is stark
When my ex and I first split two years ago, my daughter would barely talk to me on pickup days, just stared at her shoes. Now after settling into a stable routine with every other weekend and Wednesday dinners, she actually asks to stay an extra hour. Has anyone else seen their kids personality change that much after you found a rhythm in the custody schedule?

Kids really do reflect the stability they feel. That extra hour she asks for now tells me she trusts the schedule and knows you'll be there. It's amazing how consistency can flip a kid's whole attitude around.
