That $60 VPN subscription I thought was protecting me just got my data logged

I signed up for a cheap VPN service last year after seeing an ad on YouTube. Paid $60 for a 2 year plan thinking I was set. Last week I ran a WireGuard test and found out they were logging my DNS queries the whole time. Emailed support and they basically said it was for 'performance optimization' which is nonsense. Switched to a different provider now but I'm kicking myself for not doing a proper audit first. Anyone else fall for a VPN that didn't actually protect your privacy?

$60 for two years is insane, that's like $2.50 a month. Honestly I'm shocked they actually put that in writing, like they could have just denied it and moved on but they straight up told you they log your DNS. That's wild.

Yeah that's rough, can't believe they actually admitted to logging DNS like that.
