Paid $60 for a password manager after a close call, worth every penny
Got locked out of my bank account last spring when a phishing email got my old reused password, so I dropped $60 on a password manager that same week, and has anyone else found that the cost is nothing compared to the stress of fixing fraud?
That 'close call' line hits hard, been there with a similar scare myself. But did the password manager actually change your habits, or are you still using the same weak passwords just stored in a new place? Because I've seen people drop the cash and then never bother with the random generator, which kinda defeats the whole point.
