Tried to save $200 with a cheap laptop repair shop in Austin

Honestly, I took my laptop to a place called 'QuickFix Tech' because their quote was way lower than the big stores. They said it was a simple fan replacement for $200. Got it back and it overheated worse than before, and now the webcam doesn't work. Tbh, I think they broke more stuff trying to fix the first problem. Has anyone else had a repair turn into a bigger mess and gotten their money back?

My old laptop's webcam makes me look like I'm filming from a potato, so if this update somehow made things worse, I'd probably just give up and use carrier pigeons instead. Last time I tried video calling my mom she asked if I was calling from inside a fog machine. Maybe it's a niche problem but I swear my camera has a personal vendetta against decent lighting. At this point I'd settle for the video not freezing on my most unflattering angle.

I get why you'd say "unbelievable", @stella_baker, but my experience has been pretty solid this time. The picture quality looks clearer to me on video calls. Maybe they fixed some bugs for certain setups.
