Hot take: my old roommate Marcus swore the "freeze your bread" trick was pointless, and I still think about it
Back in 2019 when we shared that cramped two bedroom in Toledo, Marcus told me freezing bread just made it soggy and to never bother. I ignored him, tossed a loaf in the freezer, and two weeks later it toasted up fine while his sat on the counter growing green fuzz by day five. He moved out that spring and I still freeze every loaf I buy, mostly out of spite if I'm honest. Anyone else have a roommate whose bad advice accidentally fixed your kitchen habits?
