Wasted 40 bucks on a 'car bass test' playlist that was all static and distortion

I bought this premium download that claimed to have the perfect songs for testing subwoofers in your car, but it was just 12 tracks of annoying beeps and blown-out noises. My neighbor even knocked on my window at a red light thinking something was broken. Has anybody actually found a decent free playlist that sounds good cranked up?

Paid playlists are always a scam. They just grab random tones and call it a day. For real bass testing you need actual songs with proper low end. Try "Bass I Love You" by Bassotronics or "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake. Both hit hard on clean subwoofers. Static means your system is clipping not testing. Roll your windows down before cranking it so neighbors don't lose their minds.

You say "Static means your system is clipping not testing" but in my experience that depends a lot on the song. I've got tracks that sound like static even on expensive subs because they're recorded with intentional distortion. Different setups react different ways. Not every system hits the same on "Bass I Love You" either, that track can sound thin on certain ported boxes. Plus rolling windows down changes the acoustics completely, sometimes you want the cabin sealed to feel those low tones pressurize the car. Your mileage may vary of course, but I've heard clean bass from songs that would sound like crap to someone else.

Gotta jump in here and say that "Bass I Love You" by Bassotronics actually has a lot of clipping built into the track itself, not your system. I've heard it on a well tuned Alpine setup and it still crackles on the drop. The tune is more of a novelty than a real test track. If you want something that actually pushes your subs without blowing out your ears, grab "U Don't Know Me" by Tiga or "300 Violin Orchestra" by Jorge Quintero. Those have real clean sub bass that lets you hear what your box can do. Have you tried any tracks that aren't from those "bass test" compilations?
