Tried blasting classical music at a red light, got judged hard by a biker
So yesterday I'm sitting at the light on 5th and Main, windows down because it's 80 degrees. My playlist shuffles to some orchestral piece, I think it was Beethoven's 5th, and I just went with it. Cranked it to max like I do with everything. This guy on a Harley pulls up next to me, looks over, and just shakes his head while mouthing something I couldn't read. Then he revved his engine and took off. I wasn't embarrassed but it got me thinking, is there a universally acceptable car-blasting song? Like something that works for metalheads, country fans, and classical nerds alike? I figured Queen or something but now I'm not sure. Has anyone else tried something outside their normal genre and gotten weird looks? What do you all blast that never gets a bad reaction?

Oh come on, that biker wasn't judging your music, he was judging the fact that you had Beethoven cranked to max like you were at a concert hall. Here's the thing, there is no song that works for everyone, that's just not how people are. A metal guy will hate your Queen pick, a classical fan will roll their eyes at AC/DC, and the country crowd might not want either one. Honestly the better move is to just blast whatever you like and let the biker shake his head, since he's gonna do that no matter what you play.
