Can we talk about the 'lived-in color' trend that just won't die
Three years ago in Austin, a client asked for it and I spent 45 minutes explaining root smudging. Now everyone wants it but expects zero upkeep, which is impossible. Anyone else tired of explaining the maintenance reality?

Ugh, right? What's the most ridiculous client expectation you've heard about this trend?

Got one asking for a live tiger filter on their cat video.

Oh man, I just read an article about this exact thing, how people see the trend online and think it's a one-and-done color. It's like they believe the "lived-in" part happens by magic, not with regular salon visits. @johnson.jesse, that tiger filter request is wild, but at least that's a quick fix in an app, not months of grown-out color expectations! How do you even begin to explain that hair doesn't just stop growing?
