That foreman's warning about wet edges still haunts me
Back in 2019 on a big slab pour near Tulsa, this old foreman named Ray pulled me aside and said, "If you think you got time to grab a drink, you already lost the edge." He pointed at a section I'd just finished that was starting to blush, and sure enough, it was too late to save it. Cost the company about $1,400 to tear out and repour that strip. Has anyone else had a supervisor's offhand comment stick with them way longer than the actual lesson?
