That decorative concrete sealer I bought from a guy in Phoenix cost me a weekend and $400

I was finishing a 600 sq ft patio in Mesa last summer and this supplier swore their new acrylic sealer was the best thing since sliced bread. Applied it on a Thursday, by Sunday it was peeling up in sheets like old sunburn. Had to grind it all off and start over. Anyone else ever get burned by a sealer that looked good in the bucket?

Bought a "premium" acrylic sealer from a local supplier last fall and watched it bubble up and peel off two days later. Hadn't even cured right, wasted a whole Saturday grinding that mess off the concrete.

...and that's exactly why I won't touch acrylic anymore. My neighbor tried a different brand last spring, the one with the fancy label that was like a five gallon tub. He put it on his driveway and it looked great for about a week. Then the next rain came and it turned this weird milky white color like someone spilled milk all over his concrete. He was so mad he just threw a tarp over the whole thing and said he'd deal with it in the summer. I think he ended up power washing the whole mess off and just leaving it bare. Sometimes I wonder if these companies even test their own stuff before they sell it.
