Saw fresh control joints cut way too early at a pour in Garland, TX and now I'm worried
Drove past a slab going in on Miller Rd last Tuesday and they were out there saw cutting maybe 3 hours after the trucks left. If you're cutting that soon you're just tearing the aggregate, wait until it's hard enough to not pull up the mix or you'll get raveled edges nobody wants to pay to fix. What's your go to time window on a hot day, is it fingers and thumbnail or do you go off the clock?
