Saw a tech blog call those late 2010s Lenovos a "transitional mess" of hardware. They said the firmware updates from that period were a total nightmare. Makes sense why it would just refuse to boot for a week.

Oh man, the real nightmare was the driver support. You'd get a Windows update that needed a new chipset driver, but Lenovo's site only had the old one that crashed. So you're stuck between a broken system update and a vendor page that hasn't been touched since the laptop launched. Pure limbo.
