Swapped my drysuit inflator valve for a cheap bicycle valve and it worked better
My old inflator valve crapped out on a job in Tacoma last month, mid dive. Couldn't get a replacement fast from the usual supplier so I grabbed a Schrader valve from a bike shop for $4. I had to rig it with some zip ties and epoxy but it held air perfect for the whole 3 hour shift down on the pier. Has anyone else hacked their gear like this or am I the only one who gets desperate lol?

Is a drysuit valve really THAT hard to install?

THAT hard?" Ha! I once spent an HOUR trying to get a valve on straight, only to realize I had it upside down. Let's just say I'm better at swimming than DIY.
