Spent 6 years wiping my mask with spit in the hatch before every dive
Watched a guy in Morgan City pull a small bottle of baby shampoo out of his bag and dunk his mask, and it stayed clear for 3 hours in 60 degree water. What's everyone else using to keep fog off, or am I the only one who was doing the spit thing this whole time?
Spit works fine until you're on a boat where everyone's sharing a rinse bucket, then it's just gross. I watched a divemaster in Florida use a potato once, just cut it and rubbed it on the lens, swore by it. Never tried it myself but now I'm curious if the starch thing actually holds up.
