Hot take: I was reading single issues front to back for 12 years and it was killing my pull list
Sat down with my stack from the shop in Sacramento two Saturdays ago and noticed I could not remember a single plot point from the last three months of Batman. Then it hit me, I was treating every issue like a novel and forcing myself through pages I did not care about instead of just reading the runs I actually liked. Now I pull the first issue of anything that looks fun, read the first 10 pages, and if it does not grab me I put it right back in the bin and skip the rest. My monthly bill dropped from $47 to $22 and I finished more books in 4 weeks than I did all of 2023. Anyone else trim their pull list by testing instead of just adding everything?
