Guy at a con in 2019 made me question why I even collect keys
I was at Baltimore Comic-Con back in 2019, waiting in line for a David Finch sketch. This older collector behind me sees my bag full of graded books and asks which ones I actually read. I said maybe 30% of them, and he just nodded and told me he sold his whole 2,000 book collection in 2008 because he realized he was just hoarding plastic cases. He said the only books he kept were the ones he'd reread at least twice. That stuck with me because I've got about 150 slabs now and I've opened maybe 10 of them in the last year. Are we buying these to enjoy the stories or just to own the status? Anyone else ever had a conversation that made you rethink your pull list or your buying habits?

Buddy sold his slabs to buy a truck, still regrets it.
