Can we talk about how the hunt for a specific back issue feels different now

My copy of 'Amazing Spider-Man #252' that I bought for $15 back in 2005 finally gave up the ghost last week, the old newsprint spine just crumbling in my hands when I tried to re-read it, which made me think about how finding that book felt like a real quest back then compared to just clicking 'buy' on a slabbed copy today.

Oh man, I totally get that! Heard someone say hunting for a rare book feels like a treasure hunt now.

Okay wow, I used to think getting it fast online was the best way. But holding that old book fall apart, it hit me that the hunt was half the fun, all those dusty shops and hoping you got lucky.
