Found out 73% of job postings for 'entry level' dev roles ask for 2+ years of experience

I was scrolling through LinkedIn this morning and saw a study from a coding bootcamp that said most entry level coding jobs actually want people who already have a year or two of experience. That kind of blew my mind because how are you supposed to get that first job if nobody will take a chance on a true beginner? Anyone else run into this wall when applying?

Wait, so "entry level" actually means "we want someone who's already done this job before" now? Guess I'll just go back in time and start coding in middle school.

Is this just the new normal for everything now, @simonl11? Like even "no experience needed" gigs at fast food places want you to have 6 months of cash handling or whatever. Feels like everyone's passing the buck so they don't have to train anybody.
