A guy in my intro Python class said my variable names looked like a toddler picked them, and he was right
I was 2 months into learning Python on Codecademy and my homework was full of stuff like x, y, temp, and data2. He left a comment saying "what does x hold, a number or a list? I can't read your code at all" and I sat there for 10 minutes feeling dumb. Started naming things like user_score and total_items after that, so how do you all decide when a short name is fine and when it's lazy?
