Paid $200 for a home energy audit and it saved me big time on cooling costs
I paid $200 for a full home energy audit last summer and they found my attic insulation was basically useless. After spending $800 to blow in new insulation, my AC bill dropped by $60 a month that same summer. Has anyone else had a similar experience with audits or insulation upgrades actually paying off?

Wow, that's almost exactly what happened to me! I did the same thing last year and found out my attic had maybe two inches of insulation left, so I paid to get it topped up and my electric bill dropped by like fifty bucks a month. It's crazy how much difference just fixing that one thing can make, isn't it?

Yeah I read something about that, how a lot of houses are just missing basic insulation.
