Pulled 4 bushels of creosote out of a 1920s brick flue in Tulsa last Tuesday
Homeowner had been burning green wood for 3 seasons and the glaze was so thick my standard 8 inch brush just bounced off it. Ended up using a chemical sweep powder and coming back 2 days later, took another 3 hours to get it clean. Any of you got a better method for glazed creosote, or is the powder plus a second trip just the way it goes?
