A 30 year sweep in Dayton told me to quit brushing my flues, and he was right

I've been running a rotary brush down every flue out of habit, but he watched me do one and pointed out I was polishing the glaze on a level 3 creosote line instead of cutting it. Switched to chemical treatment plus a scraper on the tough ones and pull way more out on the follow up visit. Any of you still brushing everything or did you move on too?
