Shoutout to the $20 meat thermometer that saved my Sunday roast
I spent 15 bucks on a simple instant read thermometer from Target last week, and it kept me from serving dried out pork loin to my in-laws. Has anyone else had a cheap tool actually make you look way better than you are in the kitchen?

Oh man, a GOOD thermometer is a total GAME CHANGER. I picked up a cheap digital one from the grocery store years ago and it's still going strong, saved countless chicken breasts from turning into cardboard. Best money I ever spent in the kitchen, no joke.

Countless chicken breasts" sounds like a lot of dinners, hope your grocery bill survived!

Under 20 bucks and it's saved more meals than my oven mitts have. That thing pays for itself every time you don't serve sawdust. Cheap tools that work that good are rare, gotta hold onto them.
