Vent: saw a $6 corn maze in Rathdrum turn into a $40 afternoon

Took my kids to the corn maze off Highway 53 in Rathdrum last Saturday because the sign said $6 a person, which sounded like a steal for a cheap family day. Turns out that price only covers the maze itself, and every single thing inside costs extra: the hay ride is $5 each, the pumpkin cannon is $3 a shot, and the cider stand charges $7 for a cup smaller than my hand. We still had fun, but I watched three families in front of me hit the same wall and turn around at the gate. Has anyone found a fall spot in the Spokane area where one flat price actually covers everything?
