The $15 Goodwill fishing rod saved my date night budget
Last month I took my girlfriend to a pay lake with a rod I bought at Goodwill for 15 bucks, plus $7 for a day pass. We caught two bluegill and honestly had more fun than the $80 dinner we did the weekend before. The reel was a little sticky but nothing a few drops of oil fixed. I figure that rod already paid for itself twice over in cheap dates. Anyone else got a gear swap that made your wallet happier?
