Started tracking my grocery bill every week for 2 months and the difference was $47
I never really paid attention to what I spent on food until my card got declined at Aldi in Columbus last month. I was buying the same stuff I always got, or so I thought, but I started writing down every single item and price in a notebook. The first two weeks averaged $112 a week for just me and my roommate. Then I noticed most of the damage was coming from pre-cut fruit, those little hummus cups, and grabbing lunch out three days a week. I switched to whole fruit, a big tub of hummus, and started packing leftovers from Sunday dinner. By week six I was down to $65 a week without feeling like I was starving. Same store, same meals mostly, just different choices. If you've done a grocery audit on yourself did anything surprise you, or did it turn out to be a waste of time?
