Tried using a hair dryer on a stretched carpet corner and it somehow worked
Had a bedroom in Rochester last month where the carpet pulled loose from the tack strip in the corner and nothing I did would get it to grab. I hit the backing with my wife's old hair dryer for about 90 seconds, and the backing got soft enough that I could stretch it right over the tacks by hand. Has anyone else used heat on a stubborn corner, or did I just get lucky on this one?
