My old boss in Dayton told me to shim the hinge side of a sagging door, and 2 years later I finally tried packing the top hinge with a business card
Had a door at a rental in Dayton that drug on the carpet no matter how many times I tightened the screws, and I was about to pull the whole jamb. My old boss used to say shim the hinge side, but I got lazy and just folded a business card behind the top hinge plate instead. Door swung clean the same afternoon and it's still holding 14 months later. Anyone else got a hack that sounds like a joke but actually holds up?
