A retired framer in Amarillo told me to flip my tape measure over, and I've been reading it wrong for 22 years
He watched me mark a 2x6 three times and finally asked why I always hook the end on the left side. Turns out flipping the tape and reading from the other edge is faster for inside marks, and I tried it on a deck last Tuesday. Anybody else got a small habit somebody pointed out that you never went back from?
