Turned down a $52k job at a charter school in Columbus for a public district gig and I'm second guessing it

The charter offered smaller classes and way less testing stress but no union and a contract that could vanish in June. Public pays $7k less but has a pension and I keep hearing horror stories about charters folding mid-year, so did I pick right?
