My old groupchats were brutal, now I reread everything 3 times

Back in 2015 I'd fire off hot takes without thinking, got screenshotted and doxxed by some randos in a Discord server, lost a freelance gig over a joke about a politician. Now I type my reply, walk away for 10 minutes, then come back and delete half of it. Anyone else catch themselves triple checking every word before hitting send these days?

Same thing happened to me back in the day, @valh32. I got burned once and now I treat every message like it's going into evidence... it's exhausting but I'd rather look slow than lose another gig. Plus my drafts folder is basically a graveyard of stuff I almost said and didn't.
