Called out a friend for a bad take on Twitter and she blocked me
I replied to a girl I knew from college who posted something pretty harsh about a local baker who messed up her cake. I said maybe give them a chance to fix it. She blocked me and told three mutual friends I was defending bigotry. Has anyone else lost a friend over a simple disagreement like this?

...and you're sure that's what she blocked you for? Because honestly reading this I feel like there's probably more to it. You say you just asked to give the baker a chance but she told people you were defending bigotry. Those are two very different versions of events. Either she's completely unreasonable or you're leaving out the part where you doubled down or said something that actually did sound like you were defending the baker's behavior. Blocking someone over one comment is extreme, but so is telling three friends you defended bigotry if it was really just a simple disagreement. I'd take a hard look at what you actually typed before calling her the bad guy here.
