Shoutout to the headlamp that left me in the dark

During a night hike, my headlamp battery died suddenly. I had to feel my way back to camp, which was pretty scary. Do you carry backup lights or just trust your main one?

Hey @burns.jade, isn't relying on a low power warning still risky if the battery dies suddenly?

Look, trusting your main light is usually enough. Modern headlamps have low power warnings, so you can plan ahead. Getting stuck in the dark once in a while teaches you to be more prepared next time.

But what if that 'once in a while' puts someone in real danger?
