Why does nobody mention that QME reports get written before you even talk to the doctor
Went to my QME appointment in Fresno last Tuesday for my back. The guy spent maybe 7 minutes with me, barely looked at my MRI, then handed me a 14 page report to sign. The whole exam section was already filled in with stuff I never told him, like range of motion numbers and dates that were wrong. My attorney says this happens all the time and we just have to deal with it at the deposition. Anyone else get handed a finished report at the appointment like that?
My last QME in Bakersfield, the guy had my report done before I sat down, I swear. He asked me to touch my toes and somehow wrote down that I had full range of motion when my back was so locked up I couldn't even tie my own shoes that morning. Meanwhile I'm sitting there signing 12 pages of stuff that sounds like it happened to a totally different person. At this point I figure the exam is just for show and the report is written in the parking lot, idk maybe it's just me but that's how it feels.
