My QME exam took 4 months to schedule, then the report missed everything I said

I filed my claim back in March and the QME appointment finally happened last Tuesday, but when I got the report yesterday it basically said I had no work restrictions even though I told them my back locks up after 20 minutes of standing. The doctor barely looked at my MRI results and spent more time typing than talking to me. Has anyone else had a QME report that totally ignored what you actually said in the exam?

Did you get a chance to read the whole report word for word yet? Sometimes these doctors copy and paste a lot of standard language and miss the specific stuff you told them. My question is what did your lawyer say about the report missing your restrictions? If you don't have a lawyer yet you need one because the QME doctor is basically deciding your case and if they ignored what you said that's a big problem. Also check if the report mentions your MRI results at all because if it doesn't then that's another clear sign the doctor didn't actually review your records. The whole process is rigged to favor the insurance company and the QME doctors know that.

Yeah @jessicac28 I think youre kinda right but QMEs are supposed to be neutral not on insurance's side.

Wait, does the QME even see your side of the story before they write that report? I feel like they just get sent a stack of papers from the insurance company and call it a day. Honestly, it's super frustrating because they're supposed to be the neutral judge in all this, but they always seem to side with the one paying them. Plus, once that report is written, it's basically gospel to the judge, so if they missed your restrictions, you're basically starting from zero. Your lawyer really needs to hammer that point home with the judge, because if they just accept it, you're screwed.
