The finish guy at a shop on Delmar said something about lacquer that I can't shake
I was picking up a load of maple ply down on Delmar Blvd about two weeks ago and the finish guy there, Darrell, said he quit spraying precat lacquer on anything that touches hands. He said a client called him back after 11 months because the top coat on a set of kitchen uppers had gone soft and sticky where folks grab the doors every day. I've been spraying the same precat for 6 years on cabinet boxes and doors and never had a callback, but now I'm second guessing every kitchen I've done since spring. Any of you switched to a post cat or a waterborne for doors and drawers and actually seen it hold up past a year?
