I was sitting in the chair last Tuesday and the dude next to me was complaining that his $40 clippers from a big box store gave out after two haircuts on his kid. My barber pulled out a pair of Wahl Seniors he's had since like 2011 and said he'd replaced the blade twice and that's it. Made me realize cheap stuff costs more in the long run if you're using it even semi often. What's a tool or gadget you bought cheap that died fast and made you finally spend real money on the good version?
My buddy went through three cheap drills in one summer doing a deck repair before his wife finally told him to just get the DeWalt. That thing has been going for like six years now and he uses it way more than he ever thought he would. Sometimes the cheap version is just a down payment on the real one.
